StE's hosted its annual Volunteer Dinner recently, thanking those who volunteer their time throughout the year. Volunteers participate in spiritual ministries such as Lector and Holy Communion ministers, they volunteer to teach in our Faith Formation program or sing in one of our choirs. Voluneers also provide a service, such as our Good Samaritan Stitchers and workers in our Food Pantry.
This year we welcomed back DJ Bob Williams to our event. Bob was sidelined last year due to illness, but we were glad to have him back where he belongs; behind a mike and spinning records! Sal Monteleone, owner of Charlotte's Web Italian Restaurant in Dover, catered a delicious meal and beautiful sheetcake that we all enjoyed! Parishioners brought appetizers to share.
It is was a lovely evening filled with great food, good music and dancing and catching up with friends we don't get to see on a regular basis. It is important to take time to socialize with each other, take a rest from work and refresh so we can continue doing the work God wants us to do.
Thank you volunteers; StE's is really blessed to have you has parishioners!
