This day we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. God reveals, once again, how much He loves us, that He would send his only son to offer us Salvation through Jesus’ great sacrifice.
Mankind was lost to Heaven following the sin of Adam and Eve. However, God did not want us to be lost in the darkness but rather He desired to bring all of us into the light of Jesus’ amazing grace and love.
God’s beautiful plan is clearly outlined in our first reading. God announces glad tidings of salvation and peace, which Jesus brings to all mankind. We are reminded that God comforts His people and redeems Jerusalem. God explains to us that we are never left alone in the darkness but rather the light of Jesus has come to save all the earth.
Our Responsorial psalm explains that the earth has seen the great saving power of God. We are reminded that the Son has done great deeds and has won victory with His right hand over all evil. We are told that the son of God, in the sight of all nations, has revealed His true justice, His kindness and His fruitfulness.
Our Second reading advises that God has repeatedly spoken to our ancestors, through the prophets, to advise of His Son’s coming. We are reminded that Jesus, who sustains all things through the power of His mighty word, has come this day in glory to bring a great light upon the earth. Let all the angels of God worship Him.
The Gospel reminds us that in the beginning was the Word and the Word was in God. The Word was of God. All things came to be through Him and without Him nothing could come to be. What came to be through Him was life, and the life was the human race. Jesus is the light shining in the darkness and the darkness shall not overwhelm it. Jesus is the true light which came into the world to save it. To those who will accept the light of Jesus, they will have the power to become the children of God. We know that the word became flesh and dwelt among us. We were Blessed to see the glory of God through Jesus Christ who came to bring us grace and truth.
We celebrate today the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ, who came as a tiny baby to save each one of us from our sins. Our world today is riddled with anxiety and fear, let us remember that Jesus came to bring us back into the light of God’s love and peace. We are never alone for Jesus is always walking with us. We need to remember that all of us are precious children of the one true God who always loves us.
Blessed Christmas dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ~
