Deacon Rich and Marge became members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in November 2019. Their family consists of one son, two daughters and five grandchildren.
While Rich was going through his studies for the diaconate program our former pastor, Msgr. John Wehrlen was his Spiritual Director and Fr. John Andrew Connell was one of his instructors. He was ordained to the Diaconate by Bishop Frank Rodimer on May 31, 2003 and his ministry service
began at St. Mary’s Church in Dover.
Prior to his coming to St. E’s, he was a Deacon at St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Clifton where he was the DRE for the Religious Ed program coordinating the K-10 classes for First Communion, Confirmation/NET Retreats, and RCIA for Adults. Currently, he is a Chaplain with the Visiting Nurses Association of Morris County ministering to the Hospice patients at their homes and the VNA
Hospice Unit located at St. Clare’s Hospital in Dover.
